The TotalEnergies Startupper of the Year Challenge is Open for Submissions

The TotalEnergies Startupper of the Year Challenge is open for submissions by young entrepreneurs from 32 African countries. This year’s edition is themed towards celebrating the 100th anniversary of the energy giant.

Over 100 Startuppers will be rewarded in the challenge.

It is the 4th time the challenge is being held to “support and encourage young African entrepreneurs to innovate and bring their projects to reality in their country of application.”

Requirements for the TotalEnergies Startupper of the Year challenge

  • You must own a startup that is 3 years old or less or have a pioneering business idea to develop.
  • All business creation project holders and owners of startups under 3 years old with a positive impact on their communities and/or the planet can participate!
  • The challenge is open to young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • The call for projects is open from April, 30 to June, 18!
  • You must be resident of the participating countries.

The TotalEnergies Startupper of the year award will have three categories where a winner will be chosen in each, and four other businesses will be rewarded.

Winners will have financial, coaching and media visibility rewards as well as attend the winners event.

  • Selected businesses will receive financial grants to support the development of your startup or business idea.
  • Media visibility will highlight the winners and their startup/business idea in the media, with a dedicated local communication plan.
  • Mentors and coaches will be assigned to support the winners in a personalized way, depending on the maturity of the startup/idea and their needs.
  • Winners will also have opportunity to attend a major entrepreneurial event and connect with key players in the African entrepreneurial ecosystem.
